Ministry Associate

The Cross is a student-led Christian ministry focused on fraternity and sorority life at the University of Tennessee. The organization is dedicated to introducing Greek students to Jesus and supporting them in their journey of faith through outreach, service, leadership, and discipleship. The Cross aims to foster a welcoming community where students can grow spiritually and impact their campuses through Christ-centered leadership.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Knoxville, TN, for a Ministry Associate. The Ministry Associate will play a key role in fostering relationships with students involved in Greek life, organizing outreach events, leading small group discipleship, and supporting student development in their faith. Key responsibilities include planning ministry activities, mentoring student leaders, and collaborating with team members to grow the ministry's impact on campus.

The Ministry Associate will also assist in communications, administrative tasks, personal fundraising and supporting The Cross’s mission.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with mentoring, discipleship, or youth-focused ministry work
• Ability to organize events, manage administrative tasks, and work collaboratively
• Passion for ministry and engaging with fraternity and sorority life
• Knowledge of Christian principles and the ability to lead spiritual discussions
• Self-motivated with the flexibility to adapt to dynamic student needs
• Willingness to create personal support team
• Experience in campus ministry or related fields is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred
