Position: Substrate Assembly Technician I - 2nd Shift

Reports to: Substrate Assembly Supervisor

Cooperates with: Fabrication, Welding, Coating,

Primary Responsibility: The Substrate Assembly Technician I is responsible for assisting in the fabrication and assembly of catalyst substrates by following established procedures and safety guidelines. This role focuses on learning and performing basic tasks under supervision, ensuring quality standards are met while supporting production goals.

Specific

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with setup and operation of substrate fabrication machines under supervision.
  • Perform basic forming and assembly of catalyst substrates following work instructions.
  • Prepare raw materials for use in the assembly process.
  • Interpret and follow Work Orders and Production Data Sheets accurately.
  • Record basic inventory transactions and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Accurately record quality control data for raw materials and finished products.
  • Complete assigned tasks within established time frames.
  • Demonstrate proper selection and use of PPE for the Substrate Assembly department.
  • Handle and transport raw materials, assembly kits, and finished products safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Must be able to work 2nd Shift hours 2:00pm
    -10:30pm
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
