Overview

Job Overview We are seeking a professional, highly talented, motivated and reliable individual to join our team as an Air Duct & Dryer Vent Cleaning Team Lead. This individual will be hands-on in the field - inspecting, training, cleaning, leading, problem solving and giving oversight to the teams and all facets of the department. This individual will play a crucial role in improving efficiency for our department and giving our clients the best experience possible.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing:
    Thoroughly clean and sanitize air ducts and dryer vents using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Inspection and Assessment:
    Perform inspections to identify potential issues such as blockages, leaks, or damage within the ductwork.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Maintain and operate cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Customer Service:
    Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Lead Team:
    Collaborate effectively with other technicians to complete jobs efficiently and safely while maintaining equipment and surpassing clients needs.
Qualifications
  • Physical Ability:
    The job requires physical stamina for tasks like lifting equipment, maneuvering in tight spaces, and working at heights.
  • Attention to Detail:
    Thoroughness is key to ensure all areas of the duct system are cleaned and inspected properly.
  • Customer Service

    Skills:

    Technicians often interact with clients, so good communication, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor are important.
  • Problem-solving:
    Ability to identify and address unexpected issues that may arise during a cleaning.
  • Lead:
    Ability to lead and oversee others to complete tasks efficiently and make sure the jobs are done correctly.
Desirable Qualifications
  • NADCA Certification:
    Certification from the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) demonstrates a commitment to industry standards and best practices. Look for technicians with ASCS (Air System Cleaning Specialist) certification.
  • Knowledge of HVAC Systems:
    Understanding how heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems work is crucial for proper duct cleaning is preferred but not required. This includes familiarity with different duct materials, system components, and airflow dynamics.
  • Cleaning Techniques:
    Proficiency in various duct cleaning methods, including using specialized tools like vacuums, brushes, and air whips, is necessary. Knowledge of proper cleaning agents and sanitizers is also important.
  • Safety Practices:
    Air duct cleaning can involve working in confined spaces and with potentially hazardous materials. Strict adherence to safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE), is essential.
  • Experience:

    Prior experience in air duct cleaning, HVAC, or a related field is a plus.
  • Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are usually required, as technicians often travel to client locations.
  • Background Check:
    For safety and security reasons, conducting background checks on potential employees is advisable.
Soft Skills
  • Teamwork:
    Many air duct cleaning jobs require working as part of a team.
  • Time management:
    Efficiency and the ability to complete jobs within allocated time frames.
  • Communication:
    Clear communication with both clients and colleagues is essential.
Job Details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20 - $25.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

8 - 9 hour shift

Monday to Friday (Available from 7:45am - 5:30pm)

Weekends as needed (1-2 Saturdays per month)
