Primary Responsibilities- Lead the service team on large accounts as assigned.
- Coordinate carrier relationships and develop initial placement/renewal strategy.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate carrier relationships.
- Perform marketing activities for large accounts as assigned.
- Prepare risk maps or peer review risk maps for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate service delivery and complete special projects.
- Look for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes.
- Brings issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership.
- Serve as a mentor to new colleagues when requested.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites.
- Analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects.
- Exhibit excellent client service and problem‑solving skills.
- Possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and the ability to learn any other appropriate insurance company and firm software programs.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and either has, or is working towards, a professional insurance designation.
- Must possess at least five years’ experience and demonstrated proficiency in Account Management.
- Maintain all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment required.
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills through verbal and written communications.
- Demonstrate the organization’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture.
- Fast paced multi‑tasking environment.
- Some travel may be required.
