Role Overview

The Vice President of Data Analytics will lead the agency’s marketing science and advanced analytics practice, serving as the executive authority on media effectiveness, modeling, and data‑driven growth strategy. This leader will own analytics delivery while building scalable, proprietary analytics capabilities for a portfolio of enterprise marketing clients. This role blends deep technical credibility with exceptional communication skills, ensuring complex analytical outputs are translated into clear, actionable business guidance for senior stakeholders managing $20M–$150M+ in annual media spend.

Join a fast‑paced, family‑owned, entrepreneurial agency that is redefining what modern marketing analytics looks like as the #1 agency in the U.S. While the holding company champions creativity, this organization is laser‑focused on using data, AI, and analytics to directly drive revenue growth and business performance. You’ll lead advanced marketing science at an agency recognized as the “Agency of NEXT,” with industry‑leading AI maturity and proprietary AI suites already in production.

This role offers a true executive growth path with the opportunity to progress into an SVP or EVP position while shaping the future of marketing analytics at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead advanced marketing analytics engagements including Media Mix Modeling (MMM), Message Mix Modeling, Multi‑Touch Attribution, Forecasting, Experimentation, and Optimization.
  • Architect and evolve the agency’s marketing science framework and bespoke modeling offerings.
  • Drive adoption of open‑source MMM frameworks such as Meridian, Robyn, or similar solutions.
  • Lead development of proprietary analytics tooling in partnership with Technology, Media, and Data Engineering teams.
  • Establish modern analytics workflows using Python or R, Jupyter notebook environments, and Google Big Query as the core data platform.
  • Identify and integrate new internal and external datasets to improve modeling accuracy and business impact.
  • Translate advanced statistical results into compelling, executive‑ready business narratives and visual storytelling.
  • Serve as a senior client advisor, influencing media, marketing, and executive stakeholders to act on analytical insight.
  • Own client relationships across large‑scale marketing investments ($20M–$150M+) with accountability for value realization.
  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a high‑performing data science and analytics organization.
Technical & Analytical Expectations
  • R or Python as primary modeling languages.
  • Media Mix Modeling using Meridian, Robyn, or other open‑source frameworks.
  • Google Big Query as core data warehousing environment.
  • Notebook‑based development (Jupyter or equivalent).
  • Advanced statistical and machine learning techniques including:
    • Bayesian and Multivariate Regression
    • Time Series Modeling
    • Forecasting
    • Predictive Modeling
    • Experimental Design & RCTs
    • Discrete Choice Models
Leadership & Communication
  • 10/10 communication capability — able to translate highly technical concepts into simple, persuasive business language.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence CMOs, agency leaders, and client executives.
  • Proven ability to lead client engagements from pitch through delivery and expansion.
  • Strong client‑services mindset with a focus on partnership, trust, and measurable impact.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, media analytics, or marketing science.
  • 5+ years of experience leading analytics or data science teams.
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD preferred) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Deep experience working with digital and cross‑channel media data.
  • Proven success delivering analytics solutions within agency or consulting environments.
Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a modern analytics organization — defining its tools, talent, and intellectual property — while working with some of the most recognizable brands in the market. You will operate at the intersection of data, creativity, and business strategy, driving measurable growth through world‑class marketing science.
