Overview
A general overview of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper position is as follows:
- Assigning rooms for Housekeepers, assigning extra help for deep cleaning
- Partnering with Maintenance to ensure Housekeeping supplies are fully stocked
- Ensuring all cleaned rooms are checked and updated in the computer system
- Maintains and logs lost and found items
- Makes sure all storage areas are locked
- Oversees Housekeeping’s use of the time clock, ensuring that punches are accurate
- Responsible for making sure there are enough linens stocked for the night Housekeepers
- Assists in training for each new Housekeeper
- Assists in terminations of Housekeepers that are not showing signs of progress
- Ensures that cleaned rooms are up to standards, rules, and regulations
- Responding promptly to any guests inquires or complaints, or escalating to the General Manager
- Excellent guest service to include:
Honesty, a positive attitude, a commitment to servicing the guest, taking initiative to speak with our guests - Has the ability to seek out work, rather than to wait for direction
- General knowledge of the safety, security rules & procedures
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- The ability to modify leadership style and management approach to reach goals at hand
- Effectively communicate ideas and needs, both in written and oral communication
- Has the ability to stand or walk for up to hours per day
- Must provide authorization for us to run a pre-employment National Crime Background check
