Salary Range: $19.00 To $24.00 Annually

We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to provide frontline clinical support at our Medically Assisted Treatment/OBOT program in Knoxville.

• Performs injections, obtain vitals, medical changes, and updates the EMR
• Performs screening procedures as indicated
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms, maintaining supplies and equipment
• Performs terminal cleaning of exam rooms
• Capable of phlebotomy and specimen handling
• Acquire necessary patient information to meet current Federal guidelines for electronic medical records
• Obtain pertinent patient information including patient authorizations, recent labs delivered by patient, etc.
• Obtain patient authorization for medical records release and release of information (HIPAA CFR 42 compliance)
• Monitor and review patient schedules for next office appointments.
• Assists in ordering, receiving, and stocking office supplies.
• Other duties as assigned

• Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant
• CPR certified or within 30 days of hire (provided if needed)
• Clinical experience is required
• Experience with substance abuse recovery programs preferred
