Here's what might happen on a typical day...
You will be the friendly first point of contact for patients at our clinic, providing a positive and welcoming experience. Your upbeat attitude will help set the tone for their visit.
While some tasks are routine, managing a high volume of patients requires excellent organization and preparation to navigate a busy schedule efficiently.
Experiences that matter...- You will greet patients professionally, building rapport and completing check-in efficiently, enabling timely notifications to clinical staff of patient arrivals.
- You will provide excellent customer service through effective communication, asking appropriate questions to assess patient needs and sharing necessary information.
- You will handle payments, including collecting copays and balances, and provide receipts.
- During check-out, you will coordinate appointment scheduling that is convenient for patients and aligns with physician and office guidelines.
- Your knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and other medical office technology will enable you to navigate, document patient information accurately, and communicate effectively with staff.
- Maintaining a tidy lobby and desk area is essential, reflecting your organizational skills.
- Your proactive work ethic will prepare you to assist with additional tasks as needed.
For your safety, keep this in mind:
- The role involves sitting for extended periods, with occasional bending, stooping, and stretching for supplies.
- Lifting should be limited to 40 pounds or less.
- You need good manual dexterity to operate office equipment, and your vision and hearing should be sufficient for prolonged computer use and communication.
We feel this position requires these basics:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- You must be proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ideally, you have at least one year of experience in a similar medical clinic role to ensure you're well-prepared for this position.
