We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to provide frontline clinical support at our Medically Assisted Treatment/OBOT program in Knoxville.
Responsibilities- Performs injections, obtain vitals, medical changes, and updates the EMR
- Performs screening procedures as indicated
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms, maintaining supplies and equipment
- Performs terminal cleaning of exam rooms
- Capable of phlebotomy and specimen handling
- Acquire necessary patient information to meet current Federal guidelines for electronic medical records
- Obtain pertinent patient information including patient authorizations, recent labs delivered by patient, etc.
- Obtain patient authorization for medical records release and release of information (HIPAA CFR 42 compliance)
- Monitor and review patient schedules for next office appointments.
- Assists in ordering, receiving, and stocking office supplies.
- Other duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant
- CPR certified or within
30 days of hire (provided if needed) - Clinical experience is required
- Experience with substance abuse recovery programs preferred
