Entry-Level Salary
ENTRY-LEVEL SALARY: $59,040 annually (Pay Grade 315)
Responsibilities- Grant Management - Responsible for all aspects of grant administration, including but not limited to researching grant opportunities, writing, securing, and monitoring grants/grant programs, developing status/performance reports, preparing budgets and budget amendments, processing grant purchases and tracking expenditures. Coordinates and prepares for departmental, interdepartmental and partnering agency meetings regarding the execution and administration of all proposed grants. Oversees development of subcontracts with partnering agencies and coordinates final details with the Law Department.
- Data Analysis – Collects and statistically analyzes demographic, crime, court and other pertinent law enforcement data and utilizes details to write grants, proposals, reports, resource manuals and presentations.
- Data Processing - Possesses knowledge and proficiency in a variety of computer systems used in the office including the development and management of spreadsheets, financial reconciliations, federal, state and for-profit grant databases. Provides training for new employees on computer, word processing, spreadsheets, and records management programs. Performs back up of departmental data.
- Presentations - Utilizes public speaking skills and visual aids to make presentations for the department.
- Performs related work as required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a related field from a C.H.E.A. accredited college or university AND three years’ experience in grants administration and/or management.
- A Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a related field from a C.H.E.A. accredited college or university AND one year experience in grants administration and/or management.
- Minimum of four years’ experience in a law enforcement organization, sworn or non-sworn, with one year of experience working with grants.
Administrative law enforcement experience preferred.
