Overview

First Bank is seeking qualified applicants to fill our Loan Processor Position which represents the bank in our Specialty Lending Division. This position is directly responsible for the daily processing of all new loans.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Assembling, preparing, and processing loan packages for consumer loans following bank policies and procedures.
  • Verifying accuracy and completeness of all loan files, obtaining proper signatures, dates, and all other relevant data.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated.
  • Gathering information, inputting proper loan information into system for processing, ordering title commitment and appraisals, and preparing all TRID disclosures.
  • Ensuring that all loan documentation falls within the established company, state, and federal lending guidelines.
  • Assigned special projects/tasks as deemed necessary.
  • Updating and maintaining reports.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
  • Very detail oriented and precise.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintains positive working relationship between peers, managers, clients and other internal partners.
  • Acts as a liaison between client, loan underwriter, closers, and manufactured home dealers; possesses proper phone etiquette and can handle different personalities well.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions and to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy.
Skills Required
  • Strong Microsoft Computer

    Skills:

    Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Prior knowledge of lending guidelines and regulations, including TRID, HMDA is a plus. Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
  • Excellent written communication – Able to write concise clear letters, reports, and emails.
  • Relationship building – Able to establish and maintain a good rapport and cooperative relationship with clients and co-workers.
  • Detail oriented – Able to pay meticulous attention to all aspects of a situation or task.
  • Reliability – Must be dependable and trustworthy.
  • Accuracy – Typing skills are a must. Work is correct and error free and within company and regulation policies and guidelines.
Education

At a minimum, a high school diploma; college degree in accounting or finance preferred, but not required.
