Primary Role:
Catalyst product development. Perform various chemical synthesis and process tasks related to developing catalyst formulations.
Secondary Role:
Conduct investigations and troubleshoot processes to support manufacturing operations.
- Position involves working in office, chemical laboratory environments, and catalyst manufacturing plant.
- Bench-scale and pilot-scale synthesis of catalytic powders and catalyst solutions for physical/chemical analysis.
- Bench-scale and pilot-scale development of substrate coating parameters.
- Sample size coating of substrates for physical/chemical evaluation and performance testing.
- Catalyst characterization utilizing chemisorption and temperature-programmed reactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Experience with general laboratory procedures and safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground.
- Knowledgeable in basic inorganic synthetic techniques.
- Solid background in chemical analysis and statistical techniques.
- Experience with gas adsorption analyzers and mass spectrometry
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to produce high caliber deliverables in a short time frame.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in engineering teams and manufacturing teams.
