We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Rockwell PlantPAx and Factory Talk Batch (FT Batch) systems by Rockwell Automation. This role will be responsible for leading and executing automation projects across the full project lifecycle, including design, development, installation, commissioning, and startup support.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS), batch process control, and hands‑on field experience in commissioning and startup environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Lifecycle Execution
- Lead and contribute to automation projects from concept through completion.
- Develop functional design specifications (FDS), hardware design specifications (HDS), and control narratives.
- Design, configure, and program Rockwell Plant
PAx DCS systems. - Develop and configure Factory Talk Batch (FT Batch) applications, including:
- Recipe development and management
- Phase logic programming
- Equipment module configuration
- Develop PLC and HMI applications using Allen‑Bradley Control Logix and Factory Talk View.
- Integrate third‑party systems and field instrumentation.
- Oversee and support panel inspections, I/O checkout, and loop checks.
- Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Perform system commissioning and validation support.
- Provide on‑site startup support, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
Demonstrated expertise in:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- 5–10+ years of experience in industrial automation.
- Rockwell Plant
PAx architecture and configuration - Factory Talk Batch (FT Batch)
- Strong understanding of batch process control (ISA‑88 principles preferred).
- Experience with full project lifecycle execution.
- Hands‑on startup and commissioning experience in industrial environments.
- Ability to travel for project installations and startup support as required.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Chemical, or Manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of ISA‑88 and ISA‑95 standards.
- Experience with validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ) in regulated environments.
