DUTIES
Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc. seeks an Engineer, Process (Plant) based out of our office in Surgoinsville, Tennessee. This position does not require travel.
This position will work in the areas of extrusion, brazing, coating and assembly. The initial responsibilities include evaluating current processes, conducting gap analysis from global standards, overseeing equipment and tooling design, documenting, installing equipment and tooling, and try‑out. The role will also involve cost estimating and launch support, improving existing processes, developing inline inspection and monitoring systems, and troubleshooting production issues.
EDUCATIONREQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field of study.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- Minimum six (6) months of experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering or a related position.
- Experience with Eddy Current Testing, coating processes on steel substrates, and CAD (Solid Works and AutoCAD) for design and modeling.
- Experience with ERP systems, including Bill of Materials (BOM), routers, cost estimating, and Materials Management.
- Experience in project management (Microsoft Project), customer portals, and APQP, PPAP, PFEMA & GD&T.
- Six Sigma certification.
This position does not require travel.
RATE OF PAY$90,563 per year
