About the RoleWe are seeking a Civil Engineer II for full time work developing substation sites for Electrical Utilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly as they relate to utility infrastructure projects. Responsibilities will include designing and implementing site development plans, managing erosion control measures to maintain environmental compliance, and collaborating with Mesa engineers, various engineering disciplines, local county and state regulatory bodies, and any other parties involved to produce the necessary drawing packages.
The candidate will be dealing directly with the client frequently therefore should have great interpersonal skills and business acumen. The candidate must be self-motivated and have a strong desire to produce error free quality work. Minimal travel and site walk-downs. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, detail oriented and works well with others. Possess good interpersonal skills to build client relations and work effectively in a team environment.
- Coordinating with client and Mesa engineers, various engineering disciplines, local county and state regulatory bodies, and any other parties involved to produce the necessary drawing packages.
- Experience in site development,grading and erosion control plans, SWPPP preparation, and all necessary storm water runoff calculations is required
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university
- 5 to 10 years’ experience
- Professional Engineer (PE), required
- Bachelors
