Serve is seeking a Civil Engineer II for a direct‑hire position in the Knoxville, TN office. The successful candidate will design stormwater and infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, storm sewer systems, detention ponds, roadway design, and utility infrastructure. The role requires developing engineering reports, studies, drawings, and calculations in accordance with established standards and collaborating with clients to resolve design problems.

• Under general supervision, apply standard Civil Engineering principles to accomplish tasks within prescribed budgets and schedules.
• Perform routine and some non‑routine and complicated engineering designs with drawings and calculations in accordance with established standards.
• Prepare and coordinate engineering reports, studies, drawings, calculations, and related deliverables.
• Participate in conferences with clients to build understanding of project objectives and resolve design problems.
• Demonstrate ability to get along with coworkers, customers, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Typical site development projects may include site planning, grading & stormwater management, and utilities design.
• Be involved in construction projects to perform checks of submittals, field changes, and update drawings.

• Experience as a civil engineer demonstrated by 2–4 years of progressive design and developmental projects with facility site design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's degree in Engineering is a plus.
• EIT is a plus; provide State License number on resume or attach a copy of registration.
• Knowledge of computers and software such as Micro Station, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D or others.
• Preferred experience with storm drainage software (Civil 3D Storm and Sanitary, HEC‑HMS, Hydroflow, Culvert master).
• Business software:
  Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
