Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer will sustain reliability, availability, and maintainability of plant equipment and processes. Working closely with Maintenance and Operations people, you will analyze equipment performance, equipment critical spare part risk. You will also identify equipment reliability improvement opportunities.

• Monitor, analyze and publish reliability performance indicators for each production area
• Determine root cause for equipment failures and failure modes. Identify countermeasures to resolve failures.
• Develop new methods and procedures to reduce repair time.
• Optimize equipment Preventative Maintenance plans and schedules to maximize equipment reliability with available maintenance resources.
• Perform equipment spare part analysis of all process areas to determine criticality, availability, and optimum spare part philosophy that supports maintenance strategy.
• Calculate MTBF and MTTR indicators.
• Works with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations. This includes standardization, sizing, and integration of diagnostic tools in the design specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• 3-5 years experience as a reliability engineer, working in a heavy manufacturing environment like lumber, primary metals, textiles, plastics, paper, or cement.
• CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professionals) are plusses.
• Proficiency in analysis and presentation of technical information using data from CMMS (SAP). Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques.
