Mesa is seeking an ABET‑degreed Electrical Engineer with a keen interest in Substation Protection and Control (P&C) and Power Substation based Engineering Studies activities. The selected individual will be heavily engaged in engineering design in America’s fastest‑developing power substation arena. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer seeking technical growth, daily collaboration with subject‑matter experts, and sophisticated methods utilized in engineering design.

Exposure to all aspects of substation design from distribution level up to 500 kV will be available. The long‑range forecast for skilled professionals in this industry and their career opportunities with Mesa is excellent.

• Develop Substation related studies and calculation designs.
• Utilize modeling software to develop equipment safety and personnel safety‑based substation designs.
• Collaborate with Standards Innovation and Design Teams on Facility Ratings parameters.
• Gain expertise and assist others in Power Delivery Substation engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.

• Ability and interest in utilizing engineering‑based software for Power Substation planning and design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Customer support acumen.
• 3 to 8 years of applicable experience.

• Passed FE (EIT) Examination.
• Keen interest in learning and using the latest software tools, methods, and technologies to develop Power Substation design.
