:
Mesa seeks a Substation P&C Engineering Associate responsible for the design and/or checking of deliverables associated with high‑voltage substations, including single‑line diagrams, control house layouts, panel front views, elementary and schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, nameplate drawings, bills of materials, cable schedules, and construction turnover documentation.
- Complete assignments within budget and schedule with a high degree of accuracy.
- Communicate technical knowledge clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Work under the direction of Senior and Project Engineers.
- Apply engineering principles and practices relevant to project requirements independently.
- Collaborate with Project Engineer and Program Manager to define objectives, prepare design estimates, and set design approaches for large or complex projects.
- Determine design approach and work with the design team to prepare required documents (drawings, specifications, calculations, etc.).
- Conceptualize the initial design approach for a major phase of a large project or take overall responsibility for routine engineering work.
- Perform technical and coordination checking of deliverables, ensuring compliance with IEEE and client standards and applicable design requirements.
- Entry‑level engineering background, familiar with high‑voltage substation design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

$69,264.32 – $80,133.11 per annum. The compensation is determined by education, experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location, and hiring department’s fiscal resources.
