Overview
Goodwill Industries-Knoxville's mission is to provide vocational services and employment opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment. We operate 25 retail stores in 15 counties to serve over 1,800 individuals annually. Profits from donated items go directly into vocational training programs and employment services, helping individuals overcome barriers and achieve meaningful employment.
Role DescriptionSeeking an energetic, employment-first focused part-time jobcoach (20-25 hours per week) to assist with day-to-day supervision of youth andadults with disabilities enrolled in a work preparatory program at ourjobtraining center in Knoxville and at community employment sites. Ideal candidates will be passionate about supporting individuals preparing to enter community employment, be creative and innovative incoaching techniques, and be able to work as part of a team.
Qualifications- Driver's license and be insurable under Goodwill's insurance
- Reliable Transportation
- Ability to pass a TBI background check
- HS Diploma or equivalency
- One (1) year of professional work experience and six (6) months training and/or experience working with individuals with disabilities in teaching life skills and work tasks
- Experience with American Sign Language (ASL) a plus!
