Reports to:

We are hiring a hands on Risk Manager to own and manage our insurance program across multiple operating locations and entities in an attractions and hospitality adjacent environment. This role is responsible for keeping policies accurate, running renewals, managing claims end to end, handling policy updates and billing coordination, supporting audits, and improving visibility into cost and coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Insurance program administration
    • Own the day to day administration of our commercial insurance portfolio, such as General Liability, Property, Auto, Umbrella or Excess, Workers’ Comp, EPLI, Cyber, and other lines as applicable
    • Maintain clean policy records, schedules, certificates of insurance, endorsements, and renewal calendars
    • Process changes quickly and accurately, including location updates, exposure updates, additional insureds, waivers, vehicle schedules, and certificate requests
    • Support vendor and contract insurance compliance in coordination with internal stakeholders as needed
  • Renewals and broker coordination
    • Lead the annual renewal workflow
    • Gather exposure data, prepare submissions, coordinate underwriting questions, evaluate quotes, summarize options, and support binding and implementation
    • Partner with broker(s) to present the story clearly using loss runs, narratives, operational controls, improvements, and major changes year over year
    • Provide a renewal summary to leadership that compares coverage, pricing, deductibles or retentions, and recommendations
  • Claims management
    • Own the full claims lifecycle from first notice of loss through documentation, adjuster or TPA coordination, tracking, escalation, and closure
    • Ensure timely reporting and complete supporting documentation
    • Coordinate communication across Operations, HR, Safety, Finance, and external partners including broker, carrier, TPA, and counsel when needed
  • Billing and audits
    • Coordinate premium billing and allocations with Accounting or Finance
    • Resolve billing questions and variances with carriers or brokers
    • Lead Workers’ Comp and liability audit preparation, including payroll, classifications, revenue exposure, and subcontractor COIs
    • Keep exposures current throughout the year to reduce audit surprises
  • Reporting and cost improvement
    • Maintain practical trackers and reporting for claims status, key dates, open items, and trends
    • Identify patterns in frequency and severity and work with leaders on corrective actions
    • Bring forward opportunities to reduce total cost of risk through improved submissions, program structure, and claims handling
What we are looking for

Required

  • 3+ years in risk management, claims management, or commercial lines account management, either in house, brokerage, carrier, or TPA
  • Strong working knowledge of policy administration including endorsements, COIs, recordkeeping, and renewal workflows
  • Proven ability to manage claims and coordinate effectively with carriers or TPAs
  • Strong organization, documentation discipline, and deadline management
  • Clear communicator who can work across Ops, HR, Finance, and external partners

Preferred

  • Multi site operations experience in attractions, hospitality, outdoor adventure, retail, food and beverage, or similar
  • Workers’ Comp exposure management and audit experience
  • Comfort building trackers and dashboards in Excel, Power BI is a plus
  • ARM, AIC, or CPCU are preferred, not required
