As a Regional Business Development Manager (RBDM), you’ll identify, engage, and sell new customer business and convert lost business, building a book of $3M-$5M annually. You’ll focus on relationship building, customer retention, and incremental growth, and help sell our organization’s entire portfolio. The RBDM will have a competitive base salary and commissions plan.
Work location:
Knoxville region. Travel within the region is required; some travel to the corporate office may be necessary.
- Develop and/or manage leads resulting in $3-$5M in new business sales annually throughout the assigned market in all industry segments
- Develop and maintain a diverse and balanced pipeline with at least $20M in new growth opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships at the local level
- Represent 48forty at tradeshow and industry events, developing networks and establishing 48forty as a solutions provider
- Utilize solutions and match potential organizational capability to customer needs
- Travel within the region daily to identify, close, and cultivate sales opportunities
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a regional or national sales position
- Experience in Logistics, Industrial Packaging, Transportation, or Pallet/Container industries preferred
- Proven experience in account management, sales management, and client relations in B2B sales
- Strong computer skills (MS Office and CRM)
- Ability to travel regionally and work remotely with occasional office visits
