*** Summary of Position:
*** The Director of Sales – Regional & Specialty Channels is responsible for leading sales strategy and execution across a diverse set of retail partners, including farm and agricultural stores, value retailers, independent pet shops, home centers, and regional chains. This role plays a critical part in driving growth, deepening customer relationships, and ensuring our brand is well-positioned across these unique and influential channels.
*** Responsibilities:
*** Develop and lead the sales strategy for regional and specialty retail channels, aligning with overall business objectives.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to build and execute tailored go-to-market plans, promotional programs, and merchandising initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with other sales teams to ensure alignment, execution excellence, and responsiveness to channel-specific needs.
* Build strong relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders to drive performance and long-term growth.
* Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize investments.
* Represent the voice of the channel internally, advocating for the needs and opportunities of these retailers in planning and execution.
*
* Qualifications:
*** 8+ years of experience in sales, channel strategy, or account management, preferably within CPG or pet-related industries.
* Proven success leading sales initiatives across multi-format retail environments.
* Strong understanding of the operational and commercial dynamics of regional and specialty retail channels.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Strategic mindset with a strong bias for execution and results.
* Demonstrated success in managing P&Ls, building channel strategies, and delivering revenue and profit growth.
* Category, market, and channel experience with a track record of applying insights to win in a competitive landscape.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external retail partners.
* Ability to travel up to 40% overnight as required.
