Position summary:
The Director of Customer Service will lead and manage our customer service function across multiple shipping locations and emerging Food service division. This role is critical in ensuring exceptional customer experience, overseeing key business processes, and supporting internal teams in delivering outstanding service. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, knowledge of food manufacturing operations, and a passion for building positive, high-performing team cultures.
Responsibilities- Leader of day-to-day customer service operations, ensuring timely and accurate order entry, issue resolution, and communication with key customers.
- Relentless leader and experience in being internal “voice of customer” which aligns with our commitment to “make our customer’s lives easier.”
- Manage and support a developing customer service team (up to two direct reports), fostering professional development and accountability.
- Oversee customer credit limits, including collaboration with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Drive proactive relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and responsiveness to inquiries or concerns.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and sales to manage orders and shipping from multiple manufacturing sites.
- Monitor key metrics to evaluate service levels, operational efficiency, and team performance.
- Develop a cross functional S/OP program in concert with operations, scheduling, supply chain and sales to ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.
- Work closely with Commercial Operations to implement service strategies for our diverse customer base.
- Support the Senior Vice President of Sales with reporting, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Help build and sustain a positive internal culture that reflects Elevation Foods’ values and drives employee engagement.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service, operations, or supply chain management, preferably within the food manufacturing or CPG industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage customer accounts and internal processes across multiple functions.
- Strong understanding of order entry systems, ERP platforms, and financial workflows (AP/AR).
- Proven track record of people management and team leadership.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
