Accounting Clerk

Smart Auto Knoxville is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. Smart Auto is located at 8413 Kingston Pike at I-40 and Gallaher View in West Knoxville. We have been providing Knoxville and the surrounding area with cars, credit, and service for 20 years. • Daily reconciliation of payments including cash, debt/credit card, ACH, money orders, and online payments
• Transaction processing for sales, service, and parts purchases
• Accounts payable processing of invoices, statement reconciliation, and weekly check runs
• Bank reconciliations
• Accurately and timely perform month end closings for financial review
• Inventory posting and tracking for new vehicle purchases
• Daily imports of previous day transactions into Quick Books
• Manage and balance general ledgers
• Solve issues with vendor invoices in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate billings and payments between companies
• Reconcile merchant services account to bank account
• Point person for all chargeback disputes with merchant provider
• Proficiency with dealership management software (IDMS) and accounting systems
• Understanding of automotive industry regulations and operations
• Advanced experience with Excel is required

• Quick Books Enterprise experience is required
• Candidate should have an accounting degree preferred, but experience may be valued more than the degree
• Documented experience with Quick Books Enterprise
• Working hours are Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. This is an on-site position.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve issues quickly
