Pay range

This role’s pay range is provided by Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay

Location: Presteigne, Powys

Hours: Full and part time positions ranging 16‑40 hours per week. Shift patterns include daytime, evening, weekend and sleep‑in shifts.

Salary: £12.74 per hour. Sleep‑in shifts are £60 per night. Travel expenses paid at 45p per mile.

Contract: Permanent.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll actively support individuals in making their own choices and setting goals—whether it’s everyday decisions like choosing clothing, food or activities, or longer‑term decisions such as where to live, how to manage finances or holiday travel.

As a trusted Support Worker you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You'll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities such as paying bills, maintaining their homes, being a good neighbour and staying connected with friends and family.

Your goal is to make everyday remarkable by enhancing well‑being and focusing on small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. By offering this person‑centred support every day, this role is fun and rewarding for the right person.

  • Full driving licence – essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities
  • Access to own car and willingness to use it for transporting people, with business insurance provided and mileage paid at 45p per mile
