GP Partner

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP Partner to join the dynamic, experienced, and well-established Beech House Surgery, working 4 to 8 sessions per week. We offer 8 weeks annual leave including study leave per annum plus bank holidays (pro-rated) and competitive drawings based on a sessional split.

We are a friendly, welcoming, and supportive practice with a diverse skill mix; located in the market town of Knaresborough on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales within easy distance of Harrogate, York, and Leeds.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking GP Partner to work alongside our existing 4 GP Partners to manage a busy and varied clinical workload, ensuring the highest standard of care for our registered patients. Our Partners shape the strategic direction and business success of the practice, working towards the Beech House values of Delivering Quality Care.

Candidates with special interests are welcomed and the successful applicant will take an active role in specialist clinical areas as well as in the development and leadership of the practice.

Delivery of a high standard of primary care to registered patients (via telephone, video, electronic and face to face consultations) as well as home visits when clinically indicated.

Effective and proactive management of patients  long-term conditions and medication.

Associated administration including referrals, prescription requests and other relevant tasks.

Accepting an equal share of practice workload and working collaboratively.

Work with the management team to set and achieve strategic goals, reducing expenditure, and increasing income to ensure financial growth.

Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvements, quality initiatives and practice development.

Regular partnership and clinical meetings as well as the opportunity to be involved in external meetings with the PCN, etc.

Development of specialist clinical areas dependant on candidate interest and practice need.

Experienced and efficient clinical team consisting of GP Partners, ANP, ACP Paramedic, Practice Nurses, HCAs; as well as FCPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioners, Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Social Prescriber Link Workers

Part dispensing practice with a well-run and profitable dispensary

Training practice for GP Registrars, FY2 Doctors and medical students

We offer family planning, minor surgery and joint injections

Committed to clinical excellence and a QOF high achieving practice

Good CQC rating however striving for Outstanding

Excellent GP Patient Survey and NHS FFT results

A member of Knaresborough and Rural PCN and YHN (Yorkshire Health Network - GP Federation) and well-developed relationships with local practices
