Salary Range: $14.50 – $20.00 hourly

• Prepares, cooks, and presents food to order following company menu and food specifications.
• Follows correct prepping procedures, utilizes prep charts, and properly stores and rotates perishable stock.
• Maintains proper food temperatures, prepares special orders, and cleans ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, griddles, utensils, and other equipment.
• Completes side work and deep‑cleaning assignments correctly and in a timely manner.
• Monitors waste and food cost controls, addressing complaints promptly.
• Assists service assistants and assists others without being asked.
• Adheres to Denny’s Brand Standards and internal policies and procedures.
• Provides prompt and courteous service and is cordial to all team members and guests.
• Can lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs throughout the shift, arranging items on high and low shelves.

• Observes and ensures product is prepared and presented to company Brand Standards.
• Possesses basic math skills, including understanding of units of measure.
• Meets Denny’s uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift.
• Passes all required tests and training, and is able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Possesses excellent guest service skills, is dependable, and can learn basic tasks and follow instructions.
• Communicates in English both orally and in writing.
• Works well in a team environment and respects diversity.

• Lifts and carries supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs, bends, stoops, reaches, lifts, and grasps.
• Operates within confined work areas and works inside and outside the restaurant.
• Stands and walks throughout a 4 to 8‑hour shift and hears well in a loud environment.
• Works with potentially hazardous chemicals and tolerates extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas.
• Reads tickets, recipes, and product specifications and observes wares for cleanliness.
