RN - Flex Team

Position Overview

Registered Nurse – Flex Team – .6 Days at Sky Lakes Medical Center. Part‑time. Entry level. Health Care Provider. Hospitals and Health Care.

• Measure patient care by observation, documentation review, and input from physicians, peers, and families.
• Apply an in‑depth knowledge of nursing principles and standards in accordance with corporate policies and the Oregon State Board’s scope of practice.
• Maintain current awareness of staff abilities, assign duties appropriately, and serve as a clinical resource to staff members daily.
• Initiate, support, modify, and improve nursing practice to meet departmental goals and objectives.
• Plan for future needs in all acute care aspects, including cost containment and patient census reporting.
• Participate in nursing committees, unit governance, and orientation/training of newly hired staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines to ensure effective nursing care and patient education.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic nursing skills, concepts of medical/surgical asepsis, disease processes, and nursing terminology.
• Effective verbal and written communication; ability to remain calm and handle stress.
• Skill in problem analysis, decision‑making, planning, implementation, and safe body mechanics.
• Current Oregon RN license.
• Preferred: BSN and TNCC certification within one year of hire.
• Must adhere to Sky Lakes Medical Center Employee Standards handbook.

Must frequently stoop, bend, and reach; withstand constant walking and standing; lift at least 50 pounds; push/pull hospital equipment; function under periods of stress and trauma.

• Administer all medications, including chemotherapy, per policy.
• Demonstrate awareness of legal aspects surrounding patient care and professional practice.
• Performs other duties as assigned; specialized ED/ICU nursing skills mentioned.

$51.80 – $73.96 per hour.
