Job SummaryAs a sales associate you will be the face of our company, highlighting our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. You will be directly responsible for assisting customers and helping them recognize the need for our products and services. You must be capable of learning about what we sell and be able to articulate our purpose in a manner that is educational, insightful and professional.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Customer Service – Proactively engage and make a connection with customers.
- Ask questions and listen to customers’ needs.
- Direct customers to merchandise, informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card.
- Provide premier customer service.
- Cooperate and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships, taking accountability for your actions and outcomes.
- Mange store appearance.
- Cross‑sell products and know the store layout.
- Make suggestions to customers on latest trends and current promotions based on individual needs.
- Upsell products.
- Learn product features, keep up with the latest trends, and leverage company tools and technology to provide customers with product knowledge and specifications.
- Use a Point‑of‑Sale system to process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, and cash handling, including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customers.
- Complete various paperwork, reports, and reconciliation tasks.
- Serve as the keeper of merchandise – complete inventory processes and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed, and may participate in periodic inventories.
- Adhere to the assigned work schedule and complete work assignments accurately and fully.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
- Retail experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
- Effective communication with customers, peers, and management; proper telephone etiquette.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Reasoning ability – multi‑task, stay attentive, remain flexible, work as part of a team, and take initiative independently.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred; no experience required.
This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. It may involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role requires lifting at least 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs. in some departments. Work is typically performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending on location.

Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
