Job Summary

Total Care Home Care (TCHC) is a professional home care agency dedicated to providing compassionate, reliable care to clients throughout Maine. We believe in supporting both our clients and caregivers through respect, communication, and teamwork.

We are currently seeking an experienced Live-In Caregiver to assist a client in Kittery, Maine. This position offers stable weekly pay, housing, and an opportunity to transition to full-time employment after three months of successful service.

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide medication reminders and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs.
• Monitor vital signs and observe changes in clients’ health conditions, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization tasks.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and other specific needs.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.

• Certification in First Aid and CPR is essential for ensuring client safety.
• Experience in home health or senior care settings is preferred.

• Previous experience in group homes or nursing homes is highly valued.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring practices.
• Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
