Duties Help
* You will develop a set of inspection criteria and prepare appropriate instructions for the inspection of Reactor Plant Material and non-reactor plant systems such as welding, brazing, and lead filler materials.
* You will be responsible for writing/revising welding and brazing related technical work instructions for weld and braze joint record control.
* You will review and concur on technical work documents (TWDs) to assure proper welding procedures and nondestructive testing requirements are specified.
* You will provide technical support for refueling welding evolutions.
* You will be responsible for determining priorities, cost control and adherence to Navy Specifications and Shipyard requirements. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience with shipbuilding practices, Reactor Plant design, and materials of construction.
* Experience in stress analysis, corrosion theory, welding, nondestructive testing, and other metal joining processes.
* Experience interpreting and relating a variety of specifications and data required for the accomplishment of the Nuclear Welding Engineering Program.
* Experience with providing resolution to specific welding engineering problems. GS-11 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience applying welding and engineering principles, theories to perform a full range of duties involved in welding engineering problems.
* Experience with welding, brazing, and allied processes related to Reactor Plant applications.
* Experience with engineering methodologies to research, analyze, interpret, evaluate and carry out conventional work assignments.
* Experience preparing purchase specifications, maintenance documents, and modifications instructions for welding and brazing equipment.
