Position: SUPERVISORY TECHNICAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Technical Publications Branch, ensuring that the Technical Information Library complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
* You will develop goals and objectives that integrate organization and technical library, technical drawing library objectives.
* You will apply a broad knowledge of engineering sufficient for analyzing, organizing, accessing and disseminating technical information.
* You will establish policies and procedures for accomplishment of developing, coordinating, organizing and processing technical information.
* You will manage the Technical Library for the Shipyard.
* You will review and examine documents to determine descriptive information for subject indexing.
* You will provide reference and research for engineers and technicians through local databases and technical library as well as other resources off the Shipyard.
* You will create all actions necessary to meet delivery dates of all updated Reactor Plant Manuals solely performed by the Technical Library personnel.
* You will manage the Technical Assessment Office (TAO) and Nuclear Technical Work Document Program.
* You will balance workload and provide advice, guidance, and direction on a wide range of technical library and administrative issues. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience applying knowledge of naval engineering principles, ship construction, and maintenance processes to interpret and classify technical manuals, engineering drawings, and other shipyard documentation.
* Experience modifying and adapting standard information practices and automated library information systems, supporting nuclear ship maintenance and modernization projects.
* Experience resolving a variety of technical information organization challenges, such as integrating diverse engineering drawings, technical manuals, and assessment reports within a shipyard's configuration management system.
* Experience utilizing a wide range of information management techniques and procedures pertinent to the technical information field, including advanced database software, reference tools and electronic document management tools, in order to store, retrieve, and analyze complex technical data.
* Experience with technical publication lifecycle management to integrate updated materials and archive superseded documents.
