Carbon Department - Process Engineer (Metallurgical, chemical or mining)

This permanent, full-time role is based in Kitimat, BC. Fly-in-fly-out arrangements are not offered. Relocation package is provided if applicable.

Role overview

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. We are looking for a Process Engineer with an ore processing background to support our Processing Technical Services team. Your responsibilities include optimization and improvement of processes for converting and refining raw materials into products. This position offers opportunities to learn and grow within the business and directly support achieving our potential.

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Process Superintendent and be a role model for safety and quality across the site.
  • Develop and implement data-driven decision-making tools to optimize the value chain from raw materials to final product delivery at port facilities.
  • Analyze operating procedures, process data trends, and equipment unit operations to optimize processes and meet or exceed production plans.
  • Collaborate with Processing Plant Control Room Operators, management, and maintenance teams to maximize production and quality safely.
  • Provide accurate operational information to enable informed value chain decisions.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mining, Metallurgy, Chemical or related field).
  • Minimum of 2 years in an industrial environment, with preference for Mineral Processing or Induction Furnaces experience.
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
  • Working understanding of instrumentation, automation and process control systems.
  • Strong safety mindset.
  • Troubleshooting skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and take corrective actions.
What We Offer

Competitive compensation and a benefits package. Base salary range: 88,800.00 –  CAD, plus allowances, bonus, equity, health or retirement benefits, and other discretionary benefits. Salary is based on role, level, and location, with pay determined by skills, experience, and impact.
