DZ Bin Truck Driver

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to provide service to Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be assisting to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Transport bins to customer locations and transport loads from customers to assigned landfill.
• Complete pre-trip inspection on vehicles for mechanical/safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to drive continually during a working day and travel locally.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience and valid DZ driving license.
• High level of accountability and time management.
• Willingness to get in and roll up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the tasks done safely and effectively.
• Clean driving abstract/CVOR.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and dispatch.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc).
