Senior iOS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled  Senior iOS Developer with at least 9+ years of experience  to join our dynamic team and take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative mobile applications for our esteemed clients. This role requires a profound understanding of iOS development, with a strong focus on creating high-performance and user-friendly applications that provide exceptional experiences on Apple devices.

As a Senior iOS Developer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to conceptualize and implement features that meet user needs. Your expertise will be essential in providing technical guidance, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring adherence to best practices in code quality and development processes.

In this role, you will

Design, develop and maintain robust and scalable test automation scripts using Python.

Automate complex end-to-end test scenarios involving multi-device interactions (phones, wearables).

Assist with iOS development including APIs & SDKs, mobile app logic & UI, communication infrastructure & protocols, and testing infrastructure. Key is programming skills and experience with Objective-C and Swift.

Python based Automation experience.

Design and Development of iOS native application.

Swift programming.

Code Review and aligning to standards and Best Practices.

Work with customer stakeholders to gather, elaborate and implement optimal iOS / Swift native code.

Support deployment, bug fixes and testing.

Required skills:

Minimum 9+ years of experience in iOS application development using Swift, XCTest, Python.

Python based Automation experience.

Proven track record of developing and successfully deploying iOS applications to the App Store.

Strong understanding of iOS design principles, patterns, and best practices.

Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries integration.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git).

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Salary and Other Compensation
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $81,337 – 141,500 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.

Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client office in Kitchener, ON.
