Associate Planner – Kitchener
Work Location: Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
Hours: 37.5 per week
Line Of Business: TD Wealth
Pay: $60,000 – $70,000 CAD per year (base salary + commission based earnings)
Responsibilities- Partner with clients to understand their life and financial objectives, conduct in-depth financial reviews, and foster long-term connections through ongoing support and guidance.
- Leverage data-driven insights to analyze results, develop recommendations, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of financial programs, policies, and practices.
- Collaborate with your team to achieve shared objectives while enhancing the client experience and demonstrating a commitment to service excellence.
- Monitor productivity and service delivery, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends to ensure you remain at the forefront of financial planning.
- Share your expertise by mentoring and guiding colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Uphold a strong culture of risk management and control, aligned with the organization’s risk appetite.
- Engage fully as a valued team member and contribute to a positive, service-oriented workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in banking services, with a track record of managing client relationships and providing tailored investment advice.
- Willingness to obtain Registered Representative (RR) licensing with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), if not currently licensed.
- Commitment to achieving the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within the first three years in the role.
- CFP eligibility:
University degree OR up to 10 years of qualifying work experience OR QAFP professional in good standing for five years.
- Passion for financial planning and dedication to helping clients realize their financial and life goals.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in business development, networking, and high-value sales.
- Comprehensive understanding of the industry landscape, economic trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving abilities for building lasting client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, with flexibility to collaborate within a team or work independently, always focused on supporting and connecting with others.
