Integration Engineer

Position Summary

Customer Projects and Implementation at Miovision is looking for an Integration Engineer to join our world class customer implementation team.

Our Integration Engineer meets customer needs by building custom integrations between the Mio1 platform and our customer’s hardware and software systems. This role is critical to the Miovision Implementation and Sales teams, executing custom technical solutions in breakthrough technology.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver custom solutions to meet customer’s requirements.

Responsible for integration activities for including both on hardware (modem) and cloud APIs.

Performs technical review of 3rd party technical documents design and coordinates as needed with Miovision and 3rd party engineering teams.

Collaborates with customer teams to ensure project technical needs are met.

Performs ongoing system support for customers after project closeout as required.

Develops a thorough understanding of and intelligently communicates Miovision’s product and technology portfolio to customers.

Participate in the field-testing activities required for integration projects and/or new product launches.

Provides ongoing technical support, training, and customer service as needed.

Writes technical documents including installation manuals, troubleshooting guide, customer requirements, and integration and/or product customization procedures.

Trains fellow employees in the use, configuration and validation of our systems.

Identifies improvements and automation collaborating with engineering and product management.

Translates technical requirements from customer to Miovisions’s product development team to implement appropriate solutions.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Travel of up to 5% in North America.

Experience

Required:

Demonstrates a broad experience of problem solving and root cause analysis to solve difficult or complex problems

Programming

Python

LUA scripting

Networking, including general routing and cellular connectivity

Experience with 12 and 24 volt hardware I/O requirements

Familiarity with basic I/O circuits including use of resistors, diodes, and relays

Demonstrates customer first qualities in all areas of focus

Demonstrates experience in network and IT setup for complex ITS or technology projects.

Experience setting up VPNs between organizations

AWS Site-to-Site VPNVPN terminology and troubleshooting

Familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto, Sonic Wall firewalls a plus, but not required

Experience creating Virtual Machines within multiple VM environments

Mobile Router Configuration/troubleshooting

Network troubleshooting

Proficiency with:

Open VPNChef Server

SSHAWS/VPCSQL

Demonstrates ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Sets high expectations for results and sets a personal example of accountability

Actively experiments with innovative methods to solve problems

Ability to quickly grasp new technology including electrical, cloud computing and networking concepts

Previous experience in traffic, ITS, public safety, and/or transit industry is valued.

5+ years of engineering experience minimum.

Bachelors or 4-year degree (engineering or technical field).
