Job Type: TemporaryWork Model: In OfficeOur client in Waterloo Region, ON is actively looking for a Construction Project Administrator to join their team.
Position
Description:
This role will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Construction team, ensuring smooth project coordination, accurate financial tracking, and effective documentation control across multiple construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:Provide administrative support to Construction Managers, Project Managers, and ForemenSet up purchase orders for subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturersEnter and process change orders and project data within SAP project modulesAct as Business Key User (BKU) for project modulesMaintain and update Work in Progress (WIP) forecast sheetsUpdate and distribute construction schedules regularlyPrepare and complete progress invoices for multiple construction sitesWork closely with the Accounting team to track project expenses and timesheetsBook labour hours to projects and ensure labour rates align with installer levelsCreate, log, and track project communications and documentationPrepare project start-up binders and manage site document controlParticipate in operational meetings including project delivery meetings, staff meetings, and project reviewsPrepare project close-out documentationSupport accounting operations within the Medical Gas Construction division and contribute to process improvementsEnsure transactions comply with internal financial policies and proceduresAssist the Business Controller with reporting and special projects as requiredPerform other related duties as assignedSkills &
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience– years of project administration experience within the construction industryPrevious experience in financial accounting and business administrationField experience in construction considered an assetExpertise in SAPProficiency in MS Office SuiteExperience with project or construction management software (, Bluebeam, Job Progress) considered an assetBilingual in English and French (spoken and written) considered an assetStrong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical ability and attention to detailAbility to collaborate across departments and all organizational levelsAdditional Details:Up to hours per weekMonday to Friday, : AM – : PMIn-office role in Cambridge, ONIf you meet the above qualifications, please
