Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year

Position Summary The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field execution of mechanical and piping scopes on construction projects. This position provides leadership to site personnel, ensuring compliance with project plans, safety standards, budgets, and schedules. The Mechanical Site Superintendent plays a key role in coordinating subcontractors and maintaining effective communication between field operations, project management, and clients.
Key Responsibilities Direct and supervise all mechanical and piping construction activities on site in alignment with project specifications and company standards
Promote and enforce compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and corporate safety policies
Review drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and work plans to verify accurate installation of systems and equipment
Plan, schedule, and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and meet milestones
Monitor construction progress, maintain daily reporting, and support short- and long-range planning efforts
Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to contractual requirements
Facilitate communication among project stakeholders including clients, engineers, inspectors, and internal teams
Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities for mechanical and piping systems.
Identify and escalate impacts to schedule, cost, or design while assisting in field issue resolution
Mentor and guide site personnel to foster skill development, engagement, and adherence to performance expectations
Qualifications Minimum 5 years of mechanical construction experience with proven supervisory responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of mechanical piping systems, equipment installation, and industrial construction practices
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs
Strong understanding of Ontario codes, standards, and health and safety regulations
Proficient in construction documentation and reporting tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Valid G-class driver’s licence and availability to travel to project sites across Ontario
