A stable multi-trade contactor in the Kitchener area is currently looking for an enthusiastic individual who is able to contribute immediately and eager to continue learning. The successful candidate will work on a variety of mechanical construction projects related to Institutional, commercial and industrial jobs. As a key member of the team, the Mechanical Project Manager will be required to assist with the development and management of project schedules, thereby ensuring successful projects.
Sample of Responsibilities:
-Comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
-Assist the Project Manager to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy
-Assist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established timelines
-Assist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
-Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impacts
-Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs
-Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships
-Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
-Purchase supplies and materials as required to complete project
-Document control
Qualifications:
-Construction Technical Diploma and/or equivalent trade experience and knowledge
-3-6 + years’ experience in a Mechanical Coordinator position.
-Planning and scheduling ability
-Understanding of project forecasting and projections
-Ability to read drawings and project
-Competency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
-Dispute resolution and negotiation ability
