Driver Helper-P.M. SHIFT

Job Summary:

The Driver Helper is responsible for efficiently and safely loading, unloading, and moving carts in the warehouse, or loading dock environment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Essential Job Functions

• Load and unload materials from trucks, or pallets.
• Ensure accurate placement of goods based on delivery or storage requirements.
• Verify product quantities and inspect for damages before loading.
• Secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining clean loading/unloading areas.
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures at all times.
• Report equipment issues, discrepancies, or damages immediately.
• Work closely with drivers, and supervisors to meet daily goals.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a warehouse or loading position is a plus.
• Ability to lift 10-75 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Pushing/Pulling up to 600lbs.
• Basic math and reading skills to verify labels, manifests, and counts.
• Familiarity with loading equipment (e.g., forklifts, dollies) is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if needed.

Work Environment:

• Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• May be exposed to varying temperatures and noise levels.
