Security Officer – Armed Patrol Rounds (Kissimmee, FL)As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to deter security‑related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support site procedures, and provide strong customer service. This post requires an armed guard card and/or license.

- Provide customer service to all visitors, staff, and vendors at a government location by following site‑specific security‑related procedures, post orders, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and direct individuals to appropriate screening and/or check‑in processes in accordance with site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalation, coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders, and maintaining post coverage as directed.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and maintain assigned equipment and firearms in compliance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
- Security Experience ‑ 2+ Years is required.
- An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
