JOB TITLE: Line Cook
REPORTS TO: Director of Food & Beverage

JOB SUMMARY: The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and assembling menu items according to approved recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This position ensures food quality, portion control, and food safety compliance while supporting daily kitchen operations in a high-volume resort environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Set up and stock assigned stations with required supplies and ingredients.
- Follow prep lists, portion control standards, and supervisor direction to ensure timely food production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas before, during, and after operating hours.
- Monitor food quality, temperatures, and holding times; complete required logs.
- Label, date, rotate, and store food products using FIFO standards.
- Prevent cross-contamination by following allergen control and food safety procedures.
- Assist with unloading deliveries and properly storing food and supplies.
- Maintain food security, inventory accuracy, and report shortages or quality issues.
- Support teammates during peak periods and may be cross-trained in other food & beverage outlets.
- Proactively perform cleaning, restocking, and organizational tasks when not serving guests.
- Greet guests professionally and provide basic park information when required.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, sanitation standards, and training requirements.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Minimum 6 months kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
Certification: Food Safety Certification preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to troubleshoot situations quickly and act accordingly.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays, overnight events, and weekends.
- Must maintain positive, respectful relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies, including team members, management, and guests.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
- Proactive, goal-oriented, can-do attitude with effective customer service skills.
- Ability and willingness to follow recipes, portion control, and maintain quality standards.
- Strong teamwork orientation and flexibility to support other kitchen or F&B areas as needed.
