Base pay range

$14.00/hr - $15.00/hr

As the team at Zaxby’s expands, we are saving an opportunity for you! Cashiers are directly responsible for creating a great guest experience by consistently serving quality food in a timely manner. They will receive, stock inventory, prepare, cook, and assemble orders, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and maintain food safety and quality standards by following standard operating procedures.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assemble and package menu items to company standards.
  • Extend a warm and friendly greeting to all guests.
  • Explain menu and answer product questions for all guests.
  • Enter guests' orders accurately into the POS system.
  • Accept payments from guest and make change correctly.
  • Operate the cash register and is responsible for cash receipts.
  • Present orders to guest, properly packaged and with all necessary accompaniment and utensils.
  • Generate additional sales by suggesting additional menu items to the guest.
  • Responsible for verifying register at the beginning of the shift.
  • Stock adequate supplies of paper goods, condiment, beverages, etc. for serving the guest.
  • Prepping drinks and assisting in prepping items such as sauces, salads, produce, etc.
  • Responsible for cleaning all guest areas.
  • Informs management when any front-of-house equipment needs service or inventory is needed.
  • Remove trash from waste receptacles.
  • Responsible for answering telephone and taking orders over the telephone.

Capabilities Requirement
  • Work 9-28 hours per week (Part-Time).
  • Must be 16 or older.
  • Sit, stand, and walk continuously.
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing.
  • Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the environment.
  • Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens.
