This position is responsible for taking food and beverage orders and ensuring owners and guests are served courteously and promptly in the pool area. The role also requires maintaining strong product knowledge, offering assistance, and making thoughtful recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
Warmly welcome guests, share any specials, and answer questions. Take food and beverage orders while making recommendations and upselling when appropriate.
Accurately input food and beverage orders using the POS system. Prepare itemized checks, present them to guests, and process payments.
Serve food and beverages, check back to ensure satisfaction, and take prompt action to address any concerns.
Pre-bus tables throughout service by removing unused or dirty dishes, utensils, glasses, and trash and transporting them to the kitchen.
Complete assigned pre-shift and post-shift side work as directed by the manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
Cash-handling experience preferred
Customer service and/or food & beverage service experience required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Serv Safe, TIPS, or applicable state alcohol certifications preferred
Certification may be obtained through Holiday Inn Club Vacations if not already held
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old
Strong guest relations skills with the ability to respond to guest inquiries
Ability to learn and perform cash-handling procedures and utilize POS systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Comprehensive menu knowledge with the ability to upsell effectively
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environmen
