Nurse Supervisor​/Kissimmee, FL

Must have active Florida Nursing license

The Nurse Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily nursing operations within the facility to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this position carries administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for nursing activities during assigned shifts.

• Supervise daily nursing services and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing nursing department policies and manuals.
• Prepare and submit required reports, evaluations, and documentation.
• Participate in quality assurance, discharge planning, and facility inspections.
• Support coordination of care between nursing and other departments.

• Serve on or support committees such as Infection Control, QA/QAPI, and Care Planning.
• Provide reports, data, and recommendations to improve nursing services.
• Implement committee recommendations as directed.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts and maintain compliance with job descriptions and standards.
• Conduct staff evaluations, competency testing, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive, resident-centered environment.
• Address staff grievances, absenteeism, and performance issues appropriately.
• Maintain open communication with staff and other departments.
