Your primary role is to coordinate, supervise, and support nursing services to ensure high-quality, regulatory-compliant care is provided to residents. This includes:

• Overseeing and improving clinical care delivery,
• Ensuring staff are properly trained and supported,
• Managing risks and incidents to protect residents, staff, and the facility, and
• Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

In the absence of the Director of Nursing, you are responsible for implementing and maintaining the facility’s resident care policies and procedures.

• Assist in daily management of nursing operations.
• Develop, maintain, and update nursing policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with current healthcare laws and standards.
• Monitor staff compliance with clinical protocols and procedures.

• Coordinate new staff orientation and ongoing in-service training.
• Ensure all staff complete required competencies and evaluations annually.
• Train staff on EMR systems and assign e-learning courses.
• Investigate and document all incidents and accidents involving residents, staff, or visitors.
• Track and trend incident data to identify patterns and implement preventative strategies.
• Maintain logs and documentation for internal review and external audits (e.g., APS, OSHA, AHCA).

• Participate in QA initiatives and facility inspections.
• Maintain survey readiness tools and ensure logs are current.
• Conduct audits and chart reviews to monitor care and documentation quality.

• Manage access, roles, and training in the EMR system.
• Monitor user activity and assist with login/reset issues.
