Position Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs all aspects of respiratory care for patients across the lifespan, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and emergency services. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering safe, evidence-based care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and monitor all routine and advanced respiratory therapy procedures for patients of all ages.
  • Set up and manage acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation.
  • Evaluate and adjust therapy based on patient response and physician direction.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatments, procedures, and patient assessments.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgment in emergency situations and work independently when necessary.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned, calibrated, and maintained according to hospital and department standards.
Qualifications
  • Required:
  • Completion of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program (Associate Degree required).
  • Active Florida RRT license (must be in hand prior to start).
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT in an acute care or hospital setting.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with adult and pediatric ventilator management.
  • Proficiency in arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation.
  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
Compensation & Incentives
  • Hourly Pay Range:
  • 1 Year: $27.42/hr
  • 2-3 Years: $29.89/hr
  • 4-5 Years: $31.12/hr
  • 6-7 Years: $32.36/hr
  • 8-10 Years: $33.59/hr
  • 16+ Years: $36.95/hr
  • Shift Differentials:
  • Nights: +$4.50/hr
  • Incentives:
  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
