Qualifications- Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science
- 5+ years’ proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO
9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs - Ability to support manufacturing schedules (C-Shift; Fri-Sun; 5am – 5pm) and overtime on as needed basis
- American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification
- Experience in Aerospace, space launch, military/commercial aviation highly preferred.
- Experience with IPC J-STD-001 (Space Addendum)
- Experience with IPC 620 standard (IPC-WHMA-A-620)
- Experience in GD&T fundamentals
- Experience in conducting first article inspections (FAI)
- Experience with quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action
- Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP), process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and various problem‑solving approaches
- Quality Management System audit experience
- Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
- Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, processes, and procedures in compliance with AS9100, ISO
9000, and other relevant standards. - Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support manufacturing operations by providing quality expertise and ensuring products meet customer requirements.
- Analyze quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor team members on quality practices and procedures.
- Participate in new product development projects to ensure quality is integrated from the outset.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with quality system requirements.
